Living in Europe, my dream for ever since I can remember. Now I am here and it's amazing, but I miss my family terribly. I try to focus on all my dreams and work hard to make them a reality, but the distance is still 5,898 miles. What kills even more is the time difference. Every time something happens to me good or bad, I am used to sharing it with my family and Social Media helps, but there are rainy days like today, where nothing helps. I guess is part of the adjustment process. According to a Lloyds International survey it takes 2 years for expatriates to feel fully at home in their new country, well I guess that means I have 1 year and 2 months to go before I feel fully adjusted to being here. Until then the experts say expatriates go through periods of disappointment to depression. So I just have to keep on looking at the positives and holding on strong when the waves of loneliness and sadness go through me.
